Research Interests / Roles

Dr. Doughty's research interests are in obesity prevention during all stages of childhood, particularly during the critical developmental periods from conception through age 5. In her role as VITAHLS Coordinator, she works with participating school districts and community partners to implement and evaluate nutrition and physical activity initiatives, with the goal of reducing childhood obesity and chronic disease in the local Naugatuck Valley communities.
